New York Plumbing Code: Plumbing Code of New York State 2025

New York follows Plumbing Code of New York State 2025 as the basis for plumbing work. Permits and inspections are issued by the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), which may publish additional amendments.

The 2025 PCNYS (effective 2025-12-31) is based on the 2024 IPC. New York City publishes its own Plumbing Code.
