FPR
Filter Performance Rating — Home Depot's proprietary filter rating system on a 1–10 scale, color-coded (blue/green/red/black). Roughly maps to MERV: FPR 4 ≈ MERV 8, FPR 7 ≈ MERV 11, FPR 10 ≈ MERV 13. Like MPR, not interchangeable with MERV — different test method, different brand. Higher FPR ≠ always better; higher ratings impose more blower static pressure.
