    Neutral-Ground Bond

The single connection between the neutral and grounding systems, made only at the service. Bonding them elsewhere creates dangerous parallel current paths.

    Common uses

Establishing the system ground reference at the main panel

    Safety note

Never bond neutral and ground in a subpanel; the bond belongs only at the service disconnect.
