Pressure-Relief Device
A relief valve or rupture disc that vents a refrigeration vessel before it exceeds its design pressure. ASHRAE 15 dictates relief sizing, setpoints, and discharge routing.
Safety note
Never cap or bypass a pressure-relief device; discharge must route to a safe location.
