    Septic Pump

Also called effluent pump. A pump used to move treated wastewater from a septic tank to a drain field when gravity flow is not possible due to elevation differences. Required when the drain field is located uphill from the septic tank. Typically submersible pumps installed in a pump chamber or the septic tank itself. Flow rates vary by system size, typically 5-50 GPM (Gallons Per Minute). Includes float switches for automatic operation.
