Zeotropic Blend
A refrigerant blend whose components boil and condense at different temperatures, producing temperature glide. Zeotropes (e.g., R-407C, R-448A) must be charged as a liquid and have separate bubble and dew points on a PT chart.
Safety note
Always charge a zeotropic blend as a liquid so the blend composition is preserved.
