    Scope

    Replace a handheld or fixed shower head: unthread the old head, wrap the threads with plumbers tape, hand-tighten the new one, and check for leaks.

    Steps

    01

    Remove Old Head

    • Hold arm with wrench (protect finish)
    • Turn head counterclockwise to remove

    Prep Threads

    • Clean threads
    • Wrap PTFE tape clockwise (2–3 wraps)
    Continue Gate:Threads clean and taped?
    03

    Install New Head

    • Thread by hand to avoid cross-threading
    • Snug with wrench as needed (do not overtighten)
    Continue Gate:Head aligned and secure?

    Flush & Test

    • Run water to clear debris
    • Check for leaks; snug slightly if needed
