Replace a handheld or fixed shower head: unthread the old head, wrap the threads with plumbers tape, hand-tighten the new one, and check for leaks.

Steps
Remove Old Head
- Hold arm with wrench (protect finish)
- Turn head counterclockwise to remove
Prep Threads
- Clean threads
- Wrap PTFE tape clockwise (2–3 wraps)
✅Continue Gate:Threads clean and taped?
Install New Head
- Thread by hand to avoid cross-threading
- Snug with wrench as needed (do not overtighten)
✅Continue Gate:Head aligned and secure?
Flush & Test
- Run water to clear debris
- Check for leaks; snug slightly if needed
