Steps
Remove Cover & Hair Trap
- Remove screws/cover
- Pull out hair/debris with hook or pliers
- Clean cover
✅Continue Gate:Visible debris removed?
Boiling Water Rinse (optional)
- Pour hot (not boiling for plastic) water slowly
- Repeat to loosen soap scum
Snake the Drain
- Feed snake into drain
- Rotate and advance gently
- Retrieve debris; repeat until clear
✅Continue Gate:Snake passes and retrieves debris?
Flush & Test
- Run hot water 2–3 minutes
- Verify stable flow and no backing up
Reassemble
- Clean drain rim
- Reinstall cover firmly
Preventive
- Install hair catcher
- Monthly hot water flush
- Avoid fats/oils/soap buildup
