Steps
Inspect Tank Components
- Remove lid
- Observe handle, chain, flapper, fill valve
- Note water level mark
✅Continue Gate:Faulty part identified?
Adjust Chain & Handle
- Set 1/2 in slack in chain
- Tighten handle nut (reverse thread on some)
Replace Flapper (if warped)
- Turn off supply
- Drain tank
- Swap flapper; reconnect chain
✅Continue Gate:Seal sits flat and centered?
Set Fill Level
- Adjust float or fill valve screw
- Target 1/2–1 in below overflow
✅Continue Gate:Level stable and correct?
Test Flush
- Open supply
- Flush multiple times
- Verify full siphon and stop-fill
✅Continue Gate:No running; strong flush?
