    Scope

    Reseal a shower to stop leaks: scrape out failing caulk and grout, clean and dry the joints, then apply fresh waterproof sealant. Not a full membrane install.

    Steps

    01

    Remove Old Caulk

    • Cut and scrape out old caulk
    • Clean residue with solvent
    Continue Gate:Joints clean and dry?

    Tape Joints

    • Mask edges for straight lines
    • Leave ~1/8 in joint
    03

    Apply Silicone

    • Run smooth bead
    • Tool with caulk tool/wet finger
    • Remove tape immediately
    Continue Gate:Uniform bead with full contact?

    Seal Grout

    • Apply grout sealer to dry grout lines
    • Wipe excess; follow dwell time
    • Apply second coat if specified

    Cure

    • Allow full cure time per product
    • Avoid water exposure until cured
