Fix a leaking, dripping, or low-pressure kitchen faucet by cleaning the aerator, replacing the cartridge or O-rings, and repairing a failing pull-out sprayer.

Steps
Shut Off & Prep
- Close hot/cold valves
- Open faucet to relieve pressure
- Plug drain to catch parts
✅Continue Gate:Water off and area protected?
Disassemble Handle
- Remove cap and screw
- Lift handle
- Note orientation; photo for reference
Inspect Cartridge/O-rings
- Remove retaining clip/nut
- Pull cartridge straight out; if stuck, use a cartridge puller or gentle twist, not prying force
- Clean mineral deposits
✅Continue Gate:Parts identified and cleaned?
Replace Worn Parts
- Match replacement cartridge to faucet model and compare orientation with old part
- Install new O-rings/cartridge in the same hot/cold orientation and fully seat before locking
- Lubricate O-rings only with plumber’s grease; keep cartridge ports clear
- Reinstall retaining clip/nut per design and tighten to secure, not over-tight
- Turn water on briefly before full reassembly to confirm the cartridge seals correctly
Reassemble & Test
- Reinstall handle
- Open valves; test for leaks
- Check hot/cold and sprayer
Low Pressure Fix
- Remove aerator; clean debris
- Soak in vinegar; rinse; reinstall
