Scope
Replace a kitchen sink: remove the old drop-in or undermount basin, set the new sink, and reconnect the faucet, drain, disposal, and water supply lines.

Turn off water; support heavy sink during removal/installation; follow sealant guidance.

Steps
Shut Off & Prep
- Close hot/cold valves
- Place towels and bucket
- Clear cabinet
✅Continue Gate:Water off and area cleared?
Disconnect Plumbing
- Remove supply lines
- Loosen trap and drain connections
- Disconnect disposal if present
✅Continue Gate:All lines free and drained?
Cut Sealant & Release Sink
- Score caulk around rim
- Release clips/fasteners
- Carefully lift sink out
✅Continue Gate:Old sink removed; surface intact?
Clean Opening
- Scrape old caulk/putty
- Wipe with solvent as needed
- Dry fit new sink to check fit
✅Continue Gate:Opening clean; dry fit OK?
Install Accessories
- Install faucet/soap dispenser on new sink (easier on bench)
- Install strainers/disposal flange per instructions
Set New Sink
- Apply sealant (putty/silicone per sink type)
- Place sink; align evenly
- Tighten clips gradually and evenly
✅Continue Gate:Sink seated evenly; squeeze-out even?
Reconnect Plumbing
- Attach supply lines (hand-tight + 1/4 turn)
- Rebuild P-trap with new washers
- Reconnect disposal/dishwasher as needed
✅Continue Gate:All connections snug and supported?
Leak & Function Test
- Run water; check all joints
- Fill bowls; dump to test drains
- Verify disposal operation
✅Continue Gate:No leaks, secure mounting?
Seal & Finish
- Tool caulk bead as needed
- Clean squeeze-out
- Reinstall cabinet contents
