Steps
Prepare Installation Area
- Mark sink location; ensure height (~34 in to rim) and clearance for faucet and under-sink plumbing
- Locate studs if wall-mounting; confirm drain and supply positions align with sink
- Turn off water; if no local shutoffs, install valves on supply lines or shut main
Install Mounting Hardware
- Install wall brackets or legs per manufacturer; use screws into studs for wall mount
- Check level in both directions; shim or adjust so sink will sit level
- Ensure mounting will support sink and basin when full
Set Sink and Install Faucet
- Set sink on brackets or legs; secure per instructions
- Install faucet: gasket or putty under base; thread tailpieces through holes; tighten mounting nut from below
- Connect supply lines to faucet tailpieces; leave other ends for valve connection
Connect Water Supply and Drain
- Connect supply lines to shutoff valves; hand-tight + ¼ turn; open valves and check for leaks
- Install strainer and drain tailpiece in sink; connect P-trap to tailpiece and to wall drain
- Use slip nuts and washers; align without stressing pipes; hand-tighten trap nuts
Test and Finish
- Run hot and cold water; check all connections and faucet base for leaks
- Fill basin and release; verify drain flows and trap holds water
- Caulk or trim at wall if needed; clean up
