    Steps

    01

    Assess Symptoms

    • Observe overflow point (standpipe vs. floor drain)
    • Run small fill/drain to replicate
    • Note gurgling or slow drain sounds
    • Locate nearest cleanout
Continue Gate:Overflow replicated and location identified?
    02

    Check Standpipe and Trap

    • Remove drain hose; inspect for lint build-up
    • Snake trap with 1/4–3/8 in auger
    • Flush with hot water and enzyme cleaner
    • Re-seat drain hose to 6–8 in depth
    Continue Gate:Trap cleared and flowing?
    03

    Snake Branch Line

    • Open cleanout downstream
    • Snake 15–25 ft toward main
    • Retrieve lint clogs; flush repeatedly
    • Re-test washer drain
    Continue Gate:Branch line free-flowing?
    04

    Address Vent Issues

    • Listen for vacuum/gurgle
    • Snake vent from roof if safe or use alternative vent check
    • Ensure proper AAV or vent tie-in
    • Re-test after vent work
    Continue Gate:Vent path confirmed clear?
    05

    Final Flush and Monitor

    • Run full drain cycle with high flow
    • Check for leaks at standpipe and trap
    • Clean area; dispose of wastewater safely
    • Educate on lint filter use and periodic enzyme treatment
    Continue Gate:Full-flow drain without overflow?
