    Steps

    01

    Diagnose the Problem

    • Check controller for error codes
    • Test each zone manually
    • Look for visible leaks or damage
    • Note which zones are affected

    Turn Off Water Supply

    • Locate main shutoff valve
    • Turn off completely
    • Relieve pressure by running a zone briefly

    Repair Leaks & Breaks

    • Dig carefully around damaged areas
    • Cut out damaged pipe sections
    • Install repair couplings or new pipe
    • Test joints for leaks

    Fix Clogged Heads

    • Remove and clean clogged sprinkler heads
    • Check for debris in lines
    • If a head is damaged: turn off zone, expose riser, unthread old head, and install matching head at proper finished grade
    • Apply thread sealant/tape only if required by head/adapter type, then backfill and align nozzle arc
    • Adjust spray patterns

    Test System

    • Turn water back on slowly
    • Test each zone individually
    • Check for proper coverage and pressure
