Code notes
- Backflow protection required at every cross-connection (IPC §608 / UPC §603). For a hose-end fixture: atmospheric vacuum breaker (AVB, ASSE 1001) for non-continuous-pressure, or pressure vacuum breaker (PVB, ASSE 1020) where the valve is upstream.
- IPC §305.4 / UPC §313: in freezing climates, install a frost-proof faucet or provide an interior shutoff with bleed.

Test & Seal
- Turn water back on slowly
- Check for leaks at all connections
- Test faucet operation
- Seal penetration with weatherproof caulk
✅Continue Gate:No leaks; faucet working?
Weatherproof & Maintain
- Install weatherproof cover if provided
- Consider backflow preventer if required
- Test operation in various weather conditions
