    Sprinkler Piping Fabrication

Can I use CPVC instead of black steel for a residential sprinkler system?

Listed CPVC (e.g., BlazeMaster) is permitted for NFPA 13D residential and many NFPA 13R light-hazard systems where the piping is concealed in walls or above a fire-rated ceiling. It is faster to install and corrosion-resistant, but it is not permitted in exposed-to-flame applications or in systems with antifreeze containing glycerin per the listing.
