CFM
Cubic Feet per Minute—a measure of airflow volume through HVAC ductwork, vents, or equipment. Used for sizing ductwork (Manual D), selecting equipment, and verifying system performance. Typical residential room requirements range from 1 CFM per square foot (cooling) to higher rates for ventilation.
