    A concrete or plastic box that evenly distributes effluent from the septic tank or pump chamber into multiple drain field lines. Helps balance flow and prevent overloading any single trench. Common configurations include 3- or 4-outlet boxes with adjustable outlets to level flow. Typically installed between the septic tank and drain field.
