ECO Switch
Energy Cut Off switch - a critical safety device in electric water heaters that automatically shuts off power to heating elements if water temperature exceeds safe limits (typically 190°F). Prevents dangerous overheating and tank damage. Located on the upper thermostat and must be manually reset after tripping.
