Heat Trap Nipples
Specialized pipe nipples installed on cold water inlet and hot water outlet that prevent heat loss through convection. Use internal check valves or ball checks to stop hot water from rising up the cold inlet and cold water from entering the hot outlet. Can reduce standby heat loss by 15-20%.
