EPA 608
EPA Section 608 certification required to purchase, handle, or work with refrigerants in the US. Covers ozone-depleting and many non-ozone-depleting refrigerants. Certification levels: Type I (small appliances), Type II (high-pressure), Type III (low-pressure), Universal (all types). Mandatory for refrigerant recovery, recharge, and leak repair.
