HVAC feature that uses outdoor air for cooling when conditions allow, reducing mechanical cooling load. Common in commercial rooftop units and air handlers. When outdoor air is cool and dry enough, dampers open to bring in free cooling. Requires proper controls and maintenance for energy savings.
