Hose Bibb
The exterior wall faucet a garden hose threads onto — also called a sillcock, spigot, or outdoor faucet. It taps a supply branch through the rim joist or wall and requires a hose-thread vacuum breaker so water standing in a hose can never siphon back into the potable supply. Most jurisdictions also want an accessible interior shutoff on the branch that feeds it.
