VAV
Variable Air Volume—a commercial HVAC system that varies the volume of conditioned air supplied to each zone based on demand, rather than varying supply temperature. Uses VAV boxes with dampers and controls at each zone. Reduces energy use compared to constant-volume systems in part-load conditions.
