The volume of water moving through a pipe over time, typically expressed in Gallons Per Minute (GPM) or Gallons Per Hour (GPH). Typical fixture flows: kitchen faucet 2.2 GPM, bathroom faucet 1.2 GPM, shower 2.5 GPM.
