Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
A safety procedure for isolating and securing an energy source in the off position, with a lock and tag, so it cannot be re-energized during work.

Securing breakers and disconnects before service work

Verify zero energy with a tester after locking out; a lock alone does not confirm dead.
