Toilet Wax Ring Replacement
Complete procedure for replacing toilet wax ring seal. Critical repair for preventing water damage and eliminating odors from failed toilet base seals.

- Water pooling around toilet base
- Musty or sewer odors near toilet
- Toilet rocks when pressure applied
- Staining or dampness on floor around toilet
Common repairs
- Turn off water supply and drain toilet tank
- Remove water from toilet bowl with cup and sponge
- Disconnect water supply line
- Remove toilet bolts and lift toilet off
- Clean old wax from flange and toilet base
- Install new wax ring on flange
- Lower toilet onto new ring and align bolts
- Tighten bolts evenly and reconnect water
